Healthcare Supply Chain Software: Types, Features, Compliance and Cost for Hospitals
- Supply spending rose 9.9% in 2025 and drug spending 13.6%, while total expenses grew 7.5%. - Good healthcare supply chain software doesn’t stop at the shelf. It follows a stent all the way into the case. - Most healthcare systems we talk to already own a finance suite. They’re usually short on point-of-use capture and implant tracking. - Lot, serial, and expiry data aren’t optional anymore, thanks to DSCSA and UDI in the US and national barcode rules in England.
Open story →Context Engineering: Why It Matters for a Business, Not Just Engineers
Imagine hiring an exceptionally capable colleague who forgets everything overnight. Every morning starts with the same explanations: business terminology, approval workflows, and product logic. This is effectively how most companies work with AI today, repeatedly rebuilding context instead of reusing it. Context engineering offers a different approach by treating business knowledge as reusable infrastructure. In this article I will explore what context engineering is, where organizational context should live. Also, I will show how to test the approach on a real project in less than an hour. Context engineering is the discipline of preparing everything an AI model needs to understand a business before it receives a task. The focus is on building the knowledge foundation that makes those prompts meaningful — and building it once, in a form that any assistant can read. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and whatever the team adopts next all draw on the same foundation. This distinction is critical because most AI initiatives begin with prompt engineering. While prompts define the request, they do not provide the organizational knowledge required to answer it correctly. They cannot capture:
Open story →Healthcare Web Development: Types, Compliance, Cost and Timeline for US and UK Projects
- Public websites get most of the attention. The money in healthcare web development goes somewhere less visible: portals, video visits, clinician and payer tools. - In the US, paperwork comes first. Every vendor that touches PHI signs a BAA. Most providers have until May 2027 to reach WCAG 2.1 AA. - Before go-live, an NHS trust checks three documents: DTAC, a current DSPT, and a DCB0129 safety case. - FHIR carries most EHR traffic in both markets. SMART on FHIR handles app launch in the US; NHS login handles identity in the UK.
Open story →Mobile App Architecture: Layers, Patterns, and How to Choose One
Enterprises are shipping more software to phones every year. Most of them now treat mobile application development services as core delivery capacity rather than an occasional project. What decides whether that investment compounds or decays is mobile app architecture — the structural decisions made in the first weeks, long before anyone argues about a design system. The bill for getting those decisions wrong is well documented. In Sonar’sState of Code Developer Survey 2026, managing technical debt came out as the single largest source of developer toil, named by 41% of respondents among their top five frustrations — ahead of debugging legacy code, broken dependencies and every other option on the list. Teams reported spending roughly a quarter of the working week servicing that debt, and the share barely moved among heavy users of AI coding tools. Structural debt is the variety that compounds fastest on mobile, because it is duplicated across two platforms before anyone notices. So what makes a mobile architecture resilient enough to avoid that kind of debt? This guide to mobile application architecture covers the layers, the patterns, and the decisions that separate a codebase still shipping features in year four from one that needs replacing. Mobile app development choices made in week one are the hardest to reverse. > Mobile app architecture is the set of structural decisions that divides an application into layers — presentation, business logic, and data — and defines how information moves between them. Each layer owns one responsibility and reaches its neighbors through defined interfaces. That separation is what lets a team rework one layer while the rest holds.
Open story →One Source of Truth: How Spec-Driven Development Keeps Cross-Team Work Aligned
Speed exposes coordination problems that were already there. We tested AI-assisted development on a real production client project, expecting tooling to be the main challenge. It wasn’t. Once code started moving faster than before, business analysts, architects, developers, and designers all needed the same thing: a reliable, shared answer to one question. What exactly are we building, and whose version of that decision is current? The problem wasn’t the AI tools themselves. It was the lack of a single agreed source of truth. Product information was spread across documents, acceptance criteria, vision, goals, roadmap, code, and tests. Every role on the team read a slightly different version. In this article, I’ll break down what we built to fix that. It’s a single source of truth that keeps every role and every team working from the same version of reality — and I’ll walk through what it’s already delivered, and where it still falls short. That matters for reasons that go beyond code quality. When roles and teams don’t share a single source of truth, coordination costs show up everywhere. Onboarding takes longer. Cross-team disputes about scope get harder to settle. Reviews drag. AI doesn’t remove that ambiguity — it just turns it into code, and into everyone’s business, faster. An AI agent working with fragmented context has no better luck than a person does. It can’t reliably know which source is current, which decision supersedes another, or what the team actually agreed to build.
Open story →IT Consulting Cost and Rates: A Complete Pricing Breakdown
- IT consulting rates run about $100–$300 an hour in the US and £60–£250 in the UK. - Seniority moves the price most, so check who’s named: senior rates for junior staff are the classic overpay. - An independent senior often costs half a mid-size firm’s rate, minus bench cover and indemnity. - Nearshore means CEE for UK buyers and Latin America for US buyers, saving 30–60% on long delivery.
Open story →Custom Enterprise AI Solutions: A Practical Guide to Building AI That Fits Your Business
- Enterprise AI lives inside your identity model, your governed data, and your systems of record. - Three routes exist — features in software you already own, a configurable platform, or a build. Most enterprises run all three. - Building pays off when your process, rather than your data alone, is the advantage. - Pricing on a per-seat basis appears to be inexpensive at 200 users and 9,000 at a board-level line item.
Open story →How to Launch an App: A Step-by-Step Guide From Idea to App Store
There are 2.64 million apps on the App Store and another 2.58 million on Google Play, according to 42matters’ store data for September 2026. Most of them are invisible. On iOS, 62% have never received a single rating; on Google Play, it’s 54%. That’s the real backdrop to any question about how to launch an app. Getting into the stores is the easy bit. Getting found, getting kept, and still being maintained two years later is where most products stall — usually because something unglamorous was skipped months earlier. We see the same gaps in our own mobile app development services work, and almost none of them are about code. This guide is for teams taking a mobile app to market: product owners, CTOs, and founders at enterprises and funded startups who’ve already decided to go ahead. It covers 20 steps in six stages, from idea to store to mobile app launch and the ownership that follows. The first three steps cost almost nothing and decide whether the rest is worth paying for.
