Country filters match explicit article text; employer headquarters are not used. Official charts count the selected company’s own feed; independent mentions include stories from other publishers. Charts cover only ingested sources, not all market news. Stock prices and prediction markets provide context; neither proves a hiring change nor affects the hiring ranking.

Intel says it’s selling every affordable laptop chip it can make

During Intel's latest earnings call, CEO Lip-Bu Tan said that demand for its budget-focused Wildcat Lake chips "is outstripping supply." According to CFO David Zinsner, the chips are now sold out. Zinsner said Intel has "seen significant growth in Wildcat Lake. It's coming exactly at the right time because it's cost-optimized and we're seeing a lot of focus in that regard." As shortages of RAM and other components have driven up PC prices over recent months, Intel's Wildcat Lake chips have been appearing in new lower-cost Windows laptops on par with the MacBook Neo, like the new Dell XPS 13 or the HP Omnibook 5 14. Wildcat Lake laptops like …

We’ve had touchscreen laptops for years. Can Apple make them better?

Seeing the light on touchscreen laptops. | Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge A fridge is about to be merged with a toaster. Dogs and cats are soon to be living together. But it's not mass hysteria; Apple is expected to finally announce a touchscreen MacBook tomorrow at its "Pro and Tell" event. A laptop with a touchscreen should be no big deal - we've had them for ages. But Apple took a hardline stance against them. In addition to Tim Cook's infamous 2012 quote equating it to combining kitchen appliances, Steve Jobs emphatically dismissed touchscreen laptops as "ergonomically terrible" back in 2010, saying, "Touch surfaces don't want to be vertical." The closest Apple got was the MacBook Pro Touch Bar, from 2016 t …

In healthcare, make sure you meet the stakeholder most likely to kill your deal

You've heard the multi-threading advice a hundred times: find the economic buyer, thread a handful of stakeholders around them, and never let a deal rest on one person. When selling to healthcare providers, it goes a step farther. Not only do you need to multi-thread, but you need to ensure that one key decision-maker is included in every deal: the clinical leader. I've spent years selling in the pharma and medical device diagnostics industries, and now I sell revenue technology to healthcare organizations. Selling to healthcare provider organizations differs from other B2B sales for a few reasons. Compliance is one; a longer-than-typical sales cycle is another. But the one difference that can make or break a deal is ensuring you bring the clinical leader in. By this, I mean the chief medical officer, the lead physician, or the provider who actually runs the practice. They need to be bought in from the very first conversation, or you're building on sand. Enterprise healthcare provider deals now commonly involve six to 10 decision-makers spanning clinical, financial, IT, and operational functions, and they play out over 12- to 24-month cycles. That's a wide field, and it's getting wider. Roughly 82 percent of physicians are now employed by a hospital, health system, or corporate entity rather than an independent practice. When providers work for a centralized organization, buying authority moves upward.
