Python Tech Lead (AWS, MCP)

We are looking for a Python Tech Lead to build an Enterprise Agent Development Platform - a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem that enables engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. As Tech Lead for the MCP Server Registry, you will design and govern the enterprise MCP Server Registry, including metadata standards, identity integration, semantic discovery, and lifecycle management of MCP servers at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern the enterprise MCP Server Registry architecture at scale
• Define metadata standards aligned with the Canonical Contract for MCP servers
• Architect Python backend services using FastAPI and DynamoDB
• Integrate identity mapping through Entra Agent ID
• Implement semantic discovery mechanisms using vector search and embedding-based tool lookup
• Establish credential management workflows through Vault
• Lead governance workflow integration, including approval and lifecycle gates
• Ensure secure API access through OAuth and JWT authentication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align registry design with AWS AgentCore Registry and Gateway standards

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
• Expertise in Python backend development, including FastAPI and DynamoDB
• Knowledge of AWS AgentCore Registry and Gateway
• Background in registry or catalog system architecture at enterprise scale
• Proficiency in OAuth and JWT authentication for API protection
• Experience with governance workflow integration, including approval and lifecycle gates
• Familiarity with identity integration and semantic discovery techniques, including vector search and embedding-based tool lookup
• English proficiency at B2+ level

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS AgentCore Registry
• Familiarity with semantic search and vector database integration, including pgvector and OpenSearch
