Role description

We are looking for a Lead Data Software Engineer to deliver high-performance data applications and cloud-native pipelines while advancing AI-assisted engineering practices. You will collaborate across data, product, and marketing functions to turn business needs into scalable solutions - apply now.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance big-data applications using Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and Python
  • Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on Azure, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
  • Lead AI-assisted engineering practices, including Vibe Coding and other generative-AI accelerators
  • Architect event-driven and distributed systems using modern design patterns for reliability and scalability
  • Develop full-stack applications with modern JavaScript frameworks and backend services
  • Implement robust APIs and microservices that integrate MarTech systems with client-facing platforms
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and data teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for data and application services
  • Align stakeholders on scope, milestones, and technical decisions across data and application layers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building big-data applications with Scala, Databricks, and Python
  • 5+ years of experience designing and optimizing data pipelines on Azure
  • Proven technical leadership experience guiding engineers in cross-functional delivery
  • Strong project delivery skills driving solutions from requirements to production
  • Advanced system design skills with event-driven and distributed architecture patterns
  • Strong communication skills translating technical tradeoffs into business impact
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
  • AI-augmented development experience with Vibe Coding or comparable frameworks
  • Full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks and backend services
  • API design skills with RESTful and GraphQL interfaces
  • CI/CD pipeline experience supporting automated deployments
