Role description
We're looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our team in Gdansk/Krakow, Poland, in a hybrid working mode (3 days from the office) . In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of front-end solutions, microservices, and REST APIs, leveraging modern technologies and best practices. You will also play a key role in analyzing legacy systems, defining architecture for transformation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business value.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
- Analyze existing legacy applications and define a target state architecture for modernization
- Implement and optimize solutions within a cloud environment using AWS services
- Ensure performance, security, and reliability across applications and services
- Work collaboratively in an Agile setting, engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to code reviews and establish engineering best practices
- Use testing frameworks and monitoring tools to maintain product quality and stability
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing technical insights and recommendations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including Node.js development
- Strong expertise in JavaScript with practical experience in Node.js
- Demonstrated experience in designing microservices architecture and building REST APIs
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
- Knowledge of database technologies including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL (DB2 legacy experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with TypeScript and Java
- Understanding of CI/CD, testing practices, and tools such as Cucumber and API testing frameworks
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and the ability to manage ambiguity
