Role description

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester in Python to join a high-performance development team, bringing hands-on engineering expertise and a strong background in AWS technologies, data testing, and quality assurance practices across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions with Python 3 and related data management/manipulation libraries integrated with AWS components
  • Implement Amazon well architected frameworks and serverless solutions using Agile delivery methods
  • Improve existing platforms leveraging AWS technologies
  • Perform UI and API testing across various systems
  • Work across the full data pipeline, including ingestion, mastering, management, and consumption/distribution of large datasets
  • Conduct data testing using SQL
  • Build a test automation framework from scratch
  • Integrate automation scripts into Continuous Integration tools for daily automated regressions
  • Manage all stages of the Software Development Process and Quality Assurance Life Cycle
  • Craft test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports for functional and non-functional tests

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer working within high performance development teams
  • Significant experience in AWS Engineering, including well architected frameworks and serverless solutions
  • Proficiency in Python 3, Python data management/manipulation libraries, and AWS components
  • Strong experience in UI and API testing
  • Experience working in the Data domain across the full data pipeline
  • Strong skill in data testing using SQL
  • QA/Automation capabilities with the ability to build a TA framework from scratch
  • Experience integrating automation scripts with Continuous Integration tools
  • Understanding of all stages of the Software Development Process and Quality Assurance Life Cycle
  • Skills in test design, including test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Background in Financial Services, particularly with Equity and Fixed Income asset classes
  • Understanding of Indices
