Tech Lead Java/AI with experience in Insurance

We are seeking a Tech Lead Java/AI with experience in Insurance to guide cross-vendor development teams in delivering robust insurance applications and platforms. This role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-vendor development teams to deliver insurance applications and platforms
• Promote continuous improvement, mentorship and knowledge sharing within teams
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices and coding standards
• Maintain communication with QA, BA and management stakeholders
• Coordinate with project management and vendor teams for timely and high-quality delivery
• Drive insurance solution design and implementation using Java, SQL and Microservices
• Participate in coding, review pull requests and contribute to the codebase
• Ensure integration with external systems and APIs
• Troubleshoot issues related to application performance, functionality and integrations
• Design and optimize SQL database schemas
• Safeguard data integrity, security and efficient data retrieval

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and SQL
• Background in insurance domain
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML solutions (including generative AI) to optimize development processes and enhance insurance products
• Expertise in Microservices architecture and REST APIs
• Understanding of design patterns and software delivery practices
• Experience with Waterfall and Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• English proficiency at B2+ level
• Residence in Ukraine required for remote work eligibility
