Role description

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Spring Frameworks to guide a team of developers and drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers throughout the development process
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of technical solutions
  • Design, implement, and maintain Java-based solutions that ensure high-volume and low-latency performance
  • Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
  • Analyse user requirements to define business objectives
  • Ensure application designs conform with business goals
  • Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Engage with the architect and technology team to align with technical strategy
  • Research and evaluate technical solutions to meet business needs
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the development team

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in Java (Core), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and Spring Data/JPA
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and development, and Hibernate or other ORM frameworks
  • Skills in React.js (including hooks, functional components, state management), JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience integrating frontend (React) with backend (Java/Spring) and using version control (Git)
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Capability to debug and troubleshoot across the stack
  • Background in microservices architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
