Role description
Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and ML infrastructure that power LLM-driven ad experiences in production - partnering with scientists to operationalize large language models and developing systems from the ground up on a team that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.
As part of the Global Optimization team within Sponsored Products & Brands (SPB), you'll lead design efforts across the full stack, be a force-multiplier for other engineers, and have the flexibility to develop greenfield services in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Key job responsibilities
- Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and ML infrastructure to power LLM-driven ad experiences in production
- Partner with the science team to implement and operationalize large language models
- Build and maintain data processing pipelines that support personalized, AI-driven advertising at scale
- Lead design efforts across the full stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to engineering standards that promote reliability and team effectiveness

Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
