Role description
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect/Solution Architect with expertise in Java, Microservices, AI, and Cloud to act as an AI Adoption Coach, driving developer productivity, code quality, and engineering efficiency through practical AI adoption. This hands-on enablement role partners with software engineering teams to embed AI-assisted practices into daily development workflows and achieve a defined Bronze-level AI maturity baseline, focusing on real delivery impact and sustainable behavior change.
Responsibilities
- Guide multiple engineering teams through a time-boxed AI adoption cycle to integrate AI into core development activities while meeting defined maturity outcomes
- Support developers in applying AI tools to real engineering work such as code generation, refactoring, debugging, documentation, test creation, and code comprehension, with a focus on quality and reliability
- Help teams redesign SDLC workflows to incorporate AI safely and effectively, reinforcing good engineering practices rather than replacing them
- Run coaching sessions, technical clinics, and office hours to unblock teams, answer questions, and increase confidence in AI-assisted development
- Promote repeatable patterns, playbooks, and shared practices so AI usage remains consistent across teams and not dependent on individual champions
- Track adoption progress and contribute to visibility on engagement, usage, and delivery improvements, adjusting coaching approaches as needed
- Partner closely with trainers, program leads, and escalation teams to ensure aligned execution and rapid intervention where teams fall behind
- Act as a coach and change agent, partnering with developers, tech leads, and architects to embed AI into how software is designed, built, tested, and maintained
Requirements
- 5-20 years of experience in software engineering
- Background in software engineering with experience in modern SDLC and Agile practices
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in real projects
- Capability to coach and influence developers and technical leaders through workflow and behavior change
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain AI concepts in clear, practical terms
- Comfort working across multiple teams and distributed environments
Nice to have
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with FinOps, observability, and cloud governance
- Background in supporting production workloads with high availability and disaster recovery considerations
- Knowledge of Hybris e-commerce
