Role description

We are seeking a Senior Data Analytics and Visualization Engineer with Qlik Sense expertise to ensure stable, secure, and performant delivery of Qlik-based analytics during the domain transition to EPAM and to support modernization efforts by helping rebuild and rationalize priority BI assets and data consumption patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of Qlik applications within an assigned domain wave (e.g., Finance / Supply Chain)
  • Understand app structure, load scripts, QVD usage, and business logic
  • Support shadow, reverse-shadow, parallel run, and hypercare activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve BI defects, including reload failures, data mismatches, performance bottlenecks, broken visuals, and permission/access issues, in coordination with platform admin
  • Support parallel run validation by comparing outputs between incumbent/vendor run and EPAM-run cycles
  • Investigate discrepancies and document evidence for sign-off
  • Contribute to operational readiness through runbooks, known-issues logs, and monitoring inputs
  • Manage incident/problem tickets
  • Participate in assess and rationalise (4R) activities for the BI estate
  • Rebuild or refactor priority Finance/Supply Chain analytics assets and data models as modernisation proceeds
  • Collaborate with the data platform team (Snowflake) and governance to align consumption patterns, definitions, and controls

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering BI solutions on Qlik Sense (on-prem and/or SaaS)
  • Proficiency in reading, debugging, and improving Qlik load scripts, data models, and front-end performance
  • Background in supporting BI in a production/BAU context, including incidents, SLAs, and a stability-first mindset
  • Experience working with modern data warehouses (preferably Snowflake) and SQL-based data validation
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional work with Product Leads, SMEs, QA, and Platform Ops
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience with analytics transition/vendor handover/service takeover
  • Exposure to governance and access controls (e.g., Qlik Section Access concepts, SOX-like control environments)
  • Familiarity with test automation/data reconciliation tooling for BI validation
  • Experience modernizing BI estates (rationalization, rebuild patterns, semantic layer concepts)
