Role description
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Assurance Agent team, building an AI-enabled platform that automatically identifies and remediates security vulnerabilities. This is a greenfield, spec-driven program where BMAD methodology is the foundation of how the team works.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and AI agent components that power automated vulnerability detection and remediation workflows
- Create, configure, and compose AI agents, defining skills, tools, and multi-agent orchestration patterns using Google ADK and BMAD methodology
- Collaborate with React and Python ADK engineers to deliver end-to-end agent capabilities across multiple business unit teams
- Apply spec-driven development practices, ensuring every feature starts from a spec and every implementation is traceable to it
- Act as a technical lead, reviewing code, guiding junior engineers, and contributing to architectural decisions with the Anchor/SA
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on AI agent development experience, including agentic workflows, orchestration, fault tolerance, validation, and hallucination vs deterministic error handling
- Solid understanding of orchestration patterns and experience with agentic frameworks such as ADK or LangGraph
- Experience with spec-driven / documentation-first development practices
- Ability to work independently across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in English at a C1 level
Nice to have
- Proficiency in BMAD methodology
- Google ADK experience in Python or Java
- Working knowledge of TypeScript and Python
- Background in security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA, or vulnerability management platforms
- Familiarity with backstage.io or developer portal platforms
