Lead .NET Engineer

We are seeking a Lead .NET Engineer to build and architect full-stack solutions for insurance workflows from submission through policy issuance. You will lead delivery across backend services, cloud, and AI SDLC while partnering with stakeholders - apply to help drive high-impact outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of user stories from estimation through production release
• Design solution architectures that support insurance workflows from submission to policy issuance
• Build and maintain backend services using .NET Framework with strong reliability and performance
• Develop full-stack features that integrate .NET services with React-based user experiences
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define scope, and translate needs into technical artifacts
• Implement AI SDLC practices and deliver AI-native capabilities aligned to product goals
• Apply Microsoft Azure services to deploy, operate, and monitor cloud solutions
• Create and maintain data models and queries in Microsoft SQL Server
• Guide engineering standards through code reviews, technical direction, and mentoring
• Drive integration of specialty insurance product needs, including excess lines, into system design

Requirements

• 5+ years of .NET Framework experience building backend services
• Strong insurance domain knowledge across the value chain from submission to quoting, binding, and policy issuance
• Specialty insurance product knowledge in excess lines such as Excess Casualty and Professional Liability
• 5+ years of solution architecture experience designing scalable application solutions
• Lead-level team leadership experience guiding engineers through delivery and code quality
• Strong stakeholder management skills to gather needs, estimate features, and align on scope
• Advanced Microsoft Azure skills using cloud services to build and operate solutions
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills including schema design and performance tuning
• Hands-on AI Native Engineering experience across the AI SDLC
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) proficiency for clear collaboration and documentation

Nice to have

• ReactJS experience building production UIs
• Experience with actuarial reserving in an insurance context
• Experience implementing agentic AI solutions using Microsoft tools
