Chief Fullstack Developer (JavaScript & React)

Responsibilities

• Design and build durable, scalable features that span both the frontend and backend of our applications
• Take part in architectural discussions and help steer decisions that shape the future direction of our systems
• Team up with product managers and designers to translate business needs into sound technical solutions
• Maintain rigorous standards for code quality, performance, and long-term maintainability across the codebase
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges affecting live production systems
• Support the dependable deployment and ongoing operational health of cloud-hosted applications
• Drive improvements to engineering practices, tools, and workflows across the team
• Participate in planning discussions to define scope and estimate effort for future initiatives
• Track emerging technologies and evaluate how they might benefit the team
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• At least 2 years of experience leading and managing development teams
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies, including JavaScript, ES6, React, Next.js, HTML/HTML5, CSS/Sass/Less, and XHR
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs
• Database expertise spanning MySQL, NoSQL, and CosmosDB
• Ability to direct technical strategy across every layer of the application and enforce uniform coding standards
• Experience conducting in-depth code reviews with focus on quality, performance, and security
• Strong background in designing and building microservices, along with deploying them on Azure cloud
• Experience ensuring production readiness through health checks, graceful degradation, and rollback strategies
• Skilled in producing clear technical documentation, including ADRs, integration guides, and runbooks
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting dashboards using Splunk and Dynatrace
• Ability to define SLOs for critical services and establish robust observability practices
• Capable of proactively identifying technical risks and blockers before they affect delivery
• Direct, hands-on experience with Vibe Coding using a range of AI tools
• Experience advocating for AI-assisted development practices, including code generation, test scaffolding, PR reviews, and pairing to drive measurable productivity gains
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills, functioning as the primary technical contact across multiple teams
• Ability to translate technical decisions into terms understandable by non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring team members and delivering regular status updates with honest risk assessments
• Ability to foster a culture of ownership and accountability within the team
• Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
