Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Python, API Testing) . You will build and scale automation frameworks, strengthen end-to-end integration testing and help shape test strategy for a financial services data platform. Working in an Agile scrum team, you will integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and drive clear quality metrics and fast feedback.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain test strategy and test plans across automation, environments, performance and test data
• Design, build and enhance Python automation frameworks using Pytest
• Automate API testing and support end-to-end integration testing across multiple scrum teams
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve release confidence through fast feedback
• Partner with architects and Business Analysts to clarify non-functional requirements and performance testing plans
• Review test coverage, analyze gaps and drive continuous quality improvements using measurable metrics
• Debug failures, perform root cause analysis and resolve complex testing challenges
• Track defects, report status and maintain test assets in Jira, Confluence and TestRail

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python and the ability to produce clean, maintainable test code
• Hands-on experience with Pytest framework design and implementation
• Proven experience in API test automation and service-level testing
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch and scaling adoption across teams
• Strong knowledge of Agile testing practices and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) quality processes
• Experience with CI/CD concepts, Git and automated test execution in pipelines
• Ability to mentor peers, influence engineering practices and lead quality discussions
• Clear communication in English and confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders

Nice to have

• Performance and load testing experience
• Cloud testing exposure on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar platforms
• Knowledge of security testing or testing for AI or machine learning based products
