SAP BTP Architect

We're looking for an SAP BTP Architect to join our team in Spain in a remote working mode. In this role, you will design and govern enterprise-grade SAP BTP solutions, enabling platform standardization, security framework implementation, integration strategies, DevSecOps adoption and AI-driven innovations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP solution architects and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and clean-core-aligned architectures.

This position combines platform architecture, cloud-native development, integration strategy, and enterprise transformation initiatives, supporting SAP's vision of using BTP for extensibility, automation, analytics and AI innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP BTP platform architecture, governance standards and operating models
• Define reference architecture for multi-subaccount and global account strategies
• Architect solutions supporting Clean Core principles, ensuring loosely coupled extensions
• Design and govern event-driven, API-first and hybrid integration architectures using SAP Integration Suite
• Establish reusable integration patterns for EDI, B2B, APIs and event-driven scenarios
• Implement DevSecOps frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and security guardrails for Cloud Foundry and Kyma
• Define monitoring and observability architectures to meet compliance and operational resilience
• Support AI enablement, including Joule adoption, AI Core/Launchpad architecture and generative AI integration patterns
• Collaborate with development teams on extensibility using CAP, RAP and SAP Build tools
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks, identity management (IAS, IPS) and authorization concepts

Requirements

• Proven expertise with SAP BTP services including Integration Suite, SAP Build (Work Zone, Apps, Process Automation), SAP HANA Cloud and Event Mesh
• Strong knowledge of platform technologies: Cloud Foundry, Kyma, Kubernetes, Docker
• Hands-on experience in application extensibility using CAP, CDS, Node.js, Java and ABAP Cloud (RAP)
• Proficiency in integration patterns, OData and REST APIs, API Management and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD practices using GitHub, Azure DevOps and containerized deployment
• Strong background in security: SAP IAS/IPS, XSUAA, OAuth2, SAML and OpenID Connect
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, solution architecture and Clean Core strategy
• Ability to define governance models, reference architectures and operating frameworks for multi-tenant environments
• Excellent communication skills with experience leading cross-functional technical discussions

• Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud
• SAP S/4HANA (Public and Private Cloud) extension design experience
• Certifications including:
• SAP Certified Professional - Enterprise Architect
• SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP BTP
• SAP Integration Suite Certification
• TOGAF or hyperscaler certifications (AWS, Azure)
