Role description
We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps / Build Engineer to join a large-scale cloud transformation program and play a key role in building both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, as well as establishing robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (DXOne) and related tooling. This initiative focuses on migrating 20+ medium- and large-scale Java and .NET applications from enterprise on-premises data centers to AWS, involving a variety of migration strategies including Re-platforming, Refactoring, and Rearchitecting, offering the opportunity to contribute to complex and meaningful modernization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure AWS and on-premises infrastructure to support enterprise migration projects
- Develop, implement, and integrate CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab (DXOne), Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and other cloud-native tools
- Provision, configure, and maintain AWS EC2 virtual machines in line with industry standards and best practices
- Write, manage, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and access controls
- Automate routine operations and deployment workflows using PowerShell and Python
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven hands-on production experience in a DevOps engineering role
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS DevOps services
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, especially Kubernetes
- Background in CI/CD design, implementation, and integration
- Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation
- Understanding of Git and modern version control practices
- Skills in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
- Experience with EC2 provisioning, configuration, and management following best practices
- Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with advanced IaC tooling such as Terragrunt
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and logging solutions including CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack, and Sumo Logic
- Familiarity with additional AWS services, such as Amazon RDS
