Role description

We're looking for a Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our global delivery team in a fully remote working mode. In this role, you will lead initiatives to design, optimize, and automate AWS infrastructure supporting critical platforms for a leading global financial market infrastructure provider. You will work at the intersection of cloud engineering and DevOps, building secure, scalable environments while improving CI/CD automation, monitoring, and performance. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and drive cost-optimized, resilient cloud solutions across international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for various application landscapes and maximize process automation
  • Design and execute AWS workload migrations ensuring scalable and secure deployments
  • Build and manage AWS environments leveraging services like EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, and Lambda
  • Define and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
  • Support cross-functional teams in implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and operational best practices
  • Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and optimization strategies using AWS CloudWatch or third-party tools
  • Ensure solutions follow security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and network isolation measures
  • Fine-tune architectures for cost, performance, and operational resilience
  • Oversee release processes ensuring smooth deployments with zero-downtime principles
  • Drive automation initiatives for operational efficiency and application reliability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting scalable AWS cloud environments in production
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, and API Gateway
  • Expertise in AWS networking (VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, Load Balancers) and security frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell) for automation
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and cost optimization strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with global teams
  • English proficiency B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered cloud services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI
  • Exposure to AI-driven automation and coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode)
  • Advanced knowledge of Go or Python for cloud-native application development
  • Container vulnerability scanning and advanced DevSecOps best practices
