Solution Architect - SAP Basis & Platform Architecture

We're looking for a Solution Architect - SAP Basis & Platform Architecture to join our team in Portugal in a remote working mode. In this role, you will define and govern SAP platform architecture strategies that ensure scalability, security, and cloud readiness across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud ALM, and hybrid environments. You will lead critical transformation programs, including RISE with SAP migrations, ensuring infrastructure resilience and operational excellence within global landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Define SAP platform architecture standards and governance models
• Design SAP S/4HANA landscapes for on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud ecosystems
• Lead RISE with SAP and cloud transformation initiatives
• Architect high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SAP platforms
• Define system sizing, performance engineering, and capacity planning strategies
• Establish transport management and technical compliance models aligned with Clean Core principles
• Define SAP security architecture in collaboration with cybersecurity teams
• Implement SAP Basis modernization and automation strategies
• Establish monitoring and observability frameworks leveraging SAP Cloud ALM
• Support hyperscaler deployments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Provide leadership during upgrades, migrations, and end-to-end technical conversions

Requirements

• Proven experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP platform architecture
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA design and migration strategies
• Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA database, and SAP Cloud ALM
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and operational excellence frameworks
• Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management, SAP Focused Run, and RISE with SAP programs
• Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, TLS, SNC, and SAP security models
• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Ability to lead governance, performance engineering, and automation initiatives
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with SAP systems in hybrid environments

Nice to have

• SAP BTP administration knowledge
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
• Familiarity with LeanIX, Signavio, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
