Job Summary

Your Career

As a Professional Services Consultant focusing on our Cortex Cloud portfolio, you'll get into the details of our platform while being the driving force behind our customers' cloud security transformations. You are the technical authority and will interact directly with clients across the ANZ region to help them secure their digital environments, shifting their approach from reactive legacy measures to proactive, automated cloud-native defense.

Our customers rely on your technical expertise to seamlessly execute these deployments and empower their internal teams through structured knowledge transfer.

While prior experience with our platform is highly valued, a strong foundation in overarching cloud architecture and security principles is even more critical. Having exposure to competing technologies is an advantage, as many of your engagements will involve migrating clients from legacy or alternative solutions over to our Prisma and Cortex Cloud platforms.

As part of our comprehensive onboarding program, you will attend our Professional Services Academy to ensure you are fully prepared and experienced with our suite of services before your first customer engagement.

Your Impact

  • Guide customers through their cloud security journeys, delivering holistic, cloud-native security environments.
  • Lead engaging technical workshops to capture requirements and translate complex business needs into architectural designs.
  • Design and integrate comprehensive cloud security solutions into the customer's environment across public and private clouds.
  • Embed seamless security guardrails and automation directly into customer CI/CD pipelines, driving DevSecOps modernization.
  • Migrate customers from legacy or competing technologies into our unified cloud platforms, translating rules and policies effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, taking day-to-day direction and ensuring technical delivery aligns with project schedules and scope.
  • Drive product adoption and dramatically reduce time-to-value (TTV) by upskilling customer teams and ensuring smooth operational transitions.
  • Provide structured knowledge transfer and "as-built" documentation to ensure a smooth transition into steady-state monitoring.
  • Leverage the full suite of Palo Alto Networks capabilities to help clients re-engineer internal processes for cloud success.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • We are evaluating talent across multiple seniority levels; your scope of responsibility, autonomy, and architectural leadership will be aligned to your demonstrated experience and expertise.
  • A strong foundation in cloud architecture with hands-on experience delivering infrastructure solutions across major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
  • Proven experience deploying and architecting cloud security solutions, with exposure to broader capabilities such as Web Application and API Security (WAAS), Cloud Identity and Entitlement Management (CIEM), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and Attack Surface Management (ASM).
  • Deep understanding and hands-on expertise with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP).
  • Experience translating use cases, security policies, and rules from legacy or competing products into modern cloud security solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, GitOps workflows (e.g., Flux, ArgoCD), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, AKS), and automation scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to drive efficient security outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of network security foundations, routing, and IPSEC VPNs.
  • A true consultative mindset - you excel at balancing deep technical execution with strategic stakeholder management and communication.
  • Previous experience in an MSSP, systems integrator, and consulting environment is highly transferable and welcomed.
  • Effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure in dynamic customer environments.
  • Ability to work with customer security and network teams to build confidence across the business units impacted by transformation.
  • Familiarity with ANZ regulatory environments, data sovereignty requirements, and local market dynamics is a plus.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, Cloud Provider certs, Kubernetes certs) are highly desirable.
  • Australian Citizenship with an active NV1 Security Clearance is an advantage for immediate deployment on secure government engagements.
