Role description

We are seeking a Lead APIs and Integration Engineer to drive the design and delivery of complex integration solutions within a multi-technology ecosystem, supporting the modernization of legacy platforms and the evolution of backend services in the travel and hospitality domain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of API and integration solutions supporting the decommissioning of AEM and migration of business logic to backend services
  • Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and performant backend services aligned with the evolving loyalty platform architecture
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, product owners, and end users to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery of integration components
  • Analyze existing system gaps and propose architectural enhancements to optimize integration workflows and system interoperability
  • Drive continuous improvement through refactoring, optimization, and incremental delivery of new features and enhancements
  • Participate in regular technical reviews and client meetings to present solution designs, gather feedback, and adjust implementation plans accordingly

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in API design, development, and integration within complex, multi-technology ecosystems involving Apigee, MuleSoft, and microservices architectures
  • Strong architectural acumen combined with hands-on backend development skills in Java and cloud-native environments such as AWS
  • Ability to translate and refactor business logic from legacy front-end systems, such as AEM, into robust backend services
  • Experience bridging legacy and modern platforms, aligning technical solutions with evolving business objectives in travel and hospitality domains
  • Skills in stakeholder engagement, including collaboration with client managers, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive technical vision and delivery
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
