Role description

We are looking for a Lead Python Developer to become part of our team. This position provides the chance to work across the entire stack, helping build systems that scale dependably within modern cloud environments. Responsibilities

  • Architect and build backend services that satisfy performance, scalability, and reliability standards
  • Take part in architectural conversations that help guide the long-term direction of our systems
  • Team up with cross-functional groups to turn business needs into practical technical solutions
  • Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code across the services you develop
  • Review teammates' code to help uphold consistent quality and standards
  • Identify and fix complex issues that impact application performance and stability
  • Support the rollout and continued operational health of applications hosted in the cloud
  • Help drive ongoing improvements to engineering practices, tools, and workflows
  • Take part in planning discussions to scope and estimate effort for upcoming work
  • Provide mentorship and support to fellow engineers throughout the development process

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Solid grasp of software development principles, including SOLID and clean architecture
  • Demonstrated experience building cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services
  • Strong Python backend background, including core Python, dependency management with Poetry, the FastAPI framework, and async programming with Asyncio
  • Experience designing and building Angular single-page web applications
  • Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx
  • Experience developing with Node.js
  • Cloud experience with Azure
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability within distributed systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
  • Proficiency with Docker
  • Knowledge of cloud fundamentals, preferably Azure, with AWS considered an advantage
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with GitOps or ArgoCD considered an advantage
  • Experience with Go (Golang) considered an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
