Role description
We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to set up AWS infrastructure and GitLab (DXOne) environments to support AWS migrations, including re-platforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure AWS infrastructure to support migration projects
- Create and configure virtual machines according to best practices
- Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, code pipeline, and code deploy
- Build and maintain DevOps processes across the AWS environment
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Cloud Formation
- Apply core AWS security best practices, including security groups and roles
- Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks through scripting
- Support migration efforts across re-platform, refactor, and rearchitect scenarios
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in AWS DevOps, infrastructure setup, and CI/CD development and integration using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, and other cloud tools
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Solid knowledge of AWS core security best practices, including managing security groups, IAM roles, and policies
- Strong skills in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
- Understanding of VM creation and configuration according to best practices, with working knowledge of key AWS services (such as AWS EC2, AWS RDS, etc.) as a big plus
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, Sumo Logic) is a significant plus
- Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Terragrunt
