Role description

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate automation that discovers operational data sources and integrates them with DataHub, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Cloud Governance, Information Security, and Forward Deployed Engineers to deliver scalable, secure metadata infrastructure across a large multi-account AWS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate automation to discover operational data sources and register them with DataHub
  • Collaborate with the Forward Deployed Engineer from DataHub and internal teams such as Cloud Governance and Information Security
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for DataHub integration systems, including Remote Executors, cross-account IAM access patterns, and credential management
  • Execute the integration sequence across database platforms, starting with MongoDB, then DynamoDB, then relational databases such as RDS and PostgreSQL
  • Establish assurance of integration completeness across all supported database platforms
  • Partner with Tech Services, Cloud Governance, Substrate/platform teams, and security engineering to resolve infrastructure dependencies related to networking, IAM, secrets, and deployment pipelines
  • Contribute to the reliability and observability of the integration pipeline as it scales to cover the majority of the client's operational databases
  • Integrate DataHub with other metadata sources, such as application inventory systems
  • Produce metrics and insights based on DataHub metadata
  • Create DataHub automations for asset tagging, notifications, and policy enforcement

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related field
  • Expertise in AWS IAM, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Web Services
  • Proficiency in DataHub
  • Familiarity with Gen AI Assisted Development
  • Knowledge of MongoDB
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge of Terraform
