Role description

We are seeking a Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices) . You will build and support Java twenty-one Spring Boot services that power business-critical systems. Working in an Agile team, you will deliver clean APIs, improve reliability and help keep production stable through testing, deployments and on-call style support.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance Back-end microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Design and implement REST APIs aligned to agreed specifications
  • Develop persistence and business logic using Hibernate, Spring Data JPA or similar tools
  • Write clean, testable code and maintain strong automated test coverage
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality and consistency
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment workflows
  • Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics and structured problem-solving
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including refinement, planning, reviews and retrospectives

Requirements

  • Java development capability using a recent long-term support version
  • Spring framework knowledge including Spring Boot concepts and common patterns
  • Microservices understanding including REST API design and service-to-service integration
  • Object-oriented design foundation including design patterns and maintainable architecture
  • Relational database skills with SQL and one major platform (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB)
  • ORM frameworks knowledge such as Hibernate or equivalent
  • Testing background with JUnit and Mockito or similar frameworks
  • Delivery ways of working familiarity with Git workflows, build tools (Maven or Gradle) and CI/CD basics

Nice to have

  • Messaging experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Security and quality tooling exposure such as SonarQube, Fortify or Nexus IQ
  • OpenShift or Kubernetes experience plus container-based deployment practices
