Role description
We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure/System Engineer to support an initiative focused on standardizing and automating Linux and Windows management across a large-scale enterprise environment. The candidate will work with engineering managers on a unified solution for OS patching and PAM solutions for handling credentials and authentication across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation for Linux and Windows provisioning, patching, and configuration management
- Build scalable solutions for OS lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices
- Collaborate with engineering managers to develop unified solutions for OS patching and PAM
- Support and automate large-scale hybrid server environments
- Oversee OS upgrades and lifecycle management processes across the enterprise
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows Server
- Experience supporting and automating large-scale hybrid server environments
- Understanding of OS patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Skills in Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and Ansible
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience supporting large-scale Linux estates
- RHCE/RHCSA and/or Microsoft certifications
- Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM), authentication, and security automation
