Platform Developer - Hyperspace CI/CD

We're looking for a Platform Developer - Hyperspace CI/CD to join our team in Frankfurt in a Hybrid working model .

In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Hyperspace Portal - the developer-facing interface of SAP's internal development platform serving over 50,000 developers. You will focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines and tooling, ensuring seamless onboarding experiences and robust delivery processes. This position provides the opportunity to work on high-impact development initiatives, optimize deployment workflows and create value by enhancing automation and scalability across engineering operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy frontend and backend components for CI/CD and pipeline creation within the Hyperspace Portal
• Lead technical architecture planning, estimation and technical breakdown of development tasks
• Conduct technical investigations and resolve system defects during development and post-release phases
• Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and reliability
• Optimize and maintain existing CI/CD workflows for better performance and maintainability
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines into the Hyperspace Portal and related infrastructure tools
• Provide operational support during business hours to address incidents and onboarding requests
• Develop automation scripts to streamline recurring operational tasks and improve efficiency
• Document technical solutions and produce onboarding guides and knowledge-sharing materials

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development with proficiency in Golang, JavaScript, Python or similar programming languages
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts with hands-on experience implementing pipelines
• Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and resource modeling
• Proficiency in Git, Docker and related tooling for development lifecycle management
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in iterative development environments
• Strong problem-solving and technical investigation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Experience in producing technical documentation and architecture diagrams
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP platforms or large-scale internal developer platforms
• Knowledge of Golang as a primary development language
• Prior experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
