Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in building dependable, well-structured testing solutions that support high-quality releases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen quality practices throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the chance to shape testing strategy while contributing to continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated test scripts to verify application behavior across various functional areas
• Partner with development teams to define testing needs early in the project lifecycle
• Review test outcomes to detect defects, patterns, and opportunities to strengthen application quality
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks to keep testing solutions reliable and adaptable over time
• Help establish quality benchmarks and testing best practices that can be applied across multiple projects
• Take part in sprint planning and retrospective sessions to keep testing activities aligned with delivery schedules
• Record test cases, scenarios, and outcomes to maintain clear traceability and support team knowledge sharing
• Research and propose new tools or methods to enhance testing coverage and overall efficiency

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Azure DevOps for managing testing workflows, pipelines, and project tracking
• Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks in Java for designing and executing behavior-driven test scenarios
• Practical background in functional testing to verify application behavior against defined requirements
• Familiarity with Gherkin for writing clear, structured behavior-driven test scenarios
• Experience with Serenity BDD for building and executing automated behavior-driven tests
• Experience building or working within test automation frameworks to support scalable and maintainable testing processes
• Knowledge of data analytics applied to quality metrics to support data-informed quality decisions
• Familiarity with GenAI tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf, to support and enhance testing workflows
• Knowledge of agile methodologies or frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data quality practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across testing datasets
• Experience with mobile test automation to validate functionality across mobile applications and devices
• Background in performance testing to assess application behavior under varying load conditions
• Experience working with PostgreSQL for managing and querying relational data during testing
• Proficiency in SQL for writing queries to support data validation and testing activities
• Familiarity with security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure application safety
• An AI certification, preferably in Copilot, with additional certifications in Claude, Gemini, GPT, Grok, or similar tools considered a plus
