Role description

We are seeking a Lead C++ Engineer to maintain and support a critical Content Data pipeline at scale, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stability and reliability on highly critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines strong C++ expertise with distributed systems knowledge and excellent communication skills to thrive in a collaborative, support-oriented engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the Content Data pipeline, ensuring stability and reliability at scale
  • Work with data owned by other internal teams, adhering to established data governance practices
  • Ramp up independently on internal technologies
  • Produce clear technical documentation and written communication for cross-team collaboration
  • Contribute to code reviews and engineering discussions within C++ codebases
  • Maintain and extend existing test suites to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Participate in technical discussions and whiteboard sessions with engineering leads
  • Participate in on-call rotations (3 rotations structured as 2 primary + 1 secondary), ensuring timely resolution of issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with C++ (C++11 standard), including strong ability to read, analyze, and maintain production-level code
  • Understanding of multithreading, concurrent and asynchronous programming patterns, thread safety, and Boost libraries
  • Background in distributed systems, with ability to ramp up quickly on new architectures
  • Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Python for unit and regression testing suites
  • Familiarity with version control (Git or Perforce), code review workflows, and engineering best practices
  • Excellent written communication skills for producing clear documentation, technical summaries, and written evaluations
  • Self-directed learning ability, with demonstrated capability to ramp up independently in environments with proprietary tools and limited documentation
  • Collaborative and professional mindset, with strong analytical skills for requirement clarification and technical evaluation
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
