Senior AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team. Our client is transforming its insurance technology landscape by moving from legacy systems to next-generation Agentic AI-powered solutions. Responsibilities

• Identify high-impact opportunities for AI adoption across Insurance Broking operations
• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that automate complex insurance workflows
• Build AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, document processing, information extraction, classification, and agent-based architectures
• Collaborate directly with brokers, underwriters, and operations teams to understand business challenges and deliver scalable AI solutions
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Develop robust AI evaluation frameworks, including testing, monitoring, performance measurement, and hallucination detection
• Drive rapid experimentation and innovation using modern AI development practices
• Improve operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase business productivity through automation
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices for building reliable AI systems
• Research and apply emerging AI technologies to solve insurance industry challenges

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML, Machine Learning, or related domains
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Experience building and delivering AI-powered products from concept to production
• Hands-on experience with machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD and containerization
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with (Re)Insurance Underwriting Operations to better understand and support industry-specific workflows
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with a focus on security, to support safe and consistent environment provisioning
• Background in the Insurance industry to bring domain context to AI solution design
• Experience with Monitoring and Observability tools to track system health and performance in production
• Technical Leadership experience to guide teams and influence engineering direction
