Lead Data Migration Expert

We are looking for a Lead Data Migration Expert with SAP module experience to become part of our team. The Data Migration Expert oversees the full end-to-end delivery of their data migration scope and objects, partnering closely with local business and functional groups. This role acts as a connector between the Global Data Migration Expert and the DM Execution business teams, ensuring that local needs are properly reflected in conversion workbooks.

Responsibilities

• Assume a position aligned with large ERP programs, with duties that may also be handled by Global Data Migration Experts (GDMEs) on selected projects
• Serve as the deployment wave point of contact for the data objects covered by the deployment project migration and local data migration efforts
• Interact with Business Data Owners (BDOs) across global, regional, and local levels, together with deployment Functional Experts, ETL team members, and legacy system contributors
• Lead migration activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the deployment project
• Validate data transformation tools and confirm the accuracy of their outputs during deployment wave projects
• Assemble Data Migration Workbench (DMW) load files and carry out initial checks on migrated data
• Run Data Verification Testing (DVT) scripts to ensure the precision and completeness of migrated records
• Coordinate defect resolution and hypercare incident handling for the data objects within scope of the role
• Address design defects at the local level or escalate them to Global Data Migration Experts (GDMEs) when required

Requirements

• No less than 5 years of hands-on professional background in data migration or comparable positions
• At least 1 year of experience guiding and managing development teams
• Strong practical exposure to SAP, covering both SAP S/4 HANA and ECC environments
• Working familiarity with SAP Batch Management (BM), Inventory Management (IM), and Extended Warehouse Management (eWM)
• Grasp of integration touchpoints with FI/CO, SD, PP, MM, and QM modules, especially within a Lifesciences or GxP context
• Solid ERP project delivery experience gained by contributing to large-scale programs
• Combined strategic and hands-on working style, covering meeting facilitation, progress tracking, and effective issue management
• Extensive experience running data migration efforts across multi-country and multi-system landscapes
• Established background with data migration testing techniques and standard practices
• SAP certification in at least one relevant functional discipline, along with hands-on skill in SAP BODS
• Familiarity with GxP standards and Computer System Validation (CSV) processes
• Confident English communication skills at B2 level or higher, in both written and spoken forms
