Software Group Manager

Our company in Holon is looking for a Software Group Manager to join the Intelligence & Electronic Warfare Division. In this senior leadership role, you will lead software development teams in a cutting-edge technological environment, with full responsibility for delivery, professional and technological leadership, and direct management of team leads, while driving the development of mission-critical defense systems and innovative technological solutions

Key Responsibilities

Direct management of software team leads and leadership of the department's software teams

End-to-end responsibility for software project delivery, including timelines, quality, and scope

Resource planning and allocation across teams according to project needs

Management of the department's budget and oversight of resource utilization

Professional and technological leadership, including defining development standards and best practices

Ongoing collaboration with project managers, system engineering teams, and additional cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

B.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science

At least 8 years of software development experience

Experience managing team leads or leading multiple teams simultaneously

Proven experience leading the development of complex systems

Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment

Experience managing budgets and resources - advantage

Familiarity with Generative AI tools in development processes - advantage

Experience in the defense industry or with complex systems - advantage

Strong leadership and people management skills, with both strategic vision and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
