Role description

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to own the reliability, performance and security of mission-critical databases across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and upgrade MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and CockroachDB databases
  • Monitor, tune and optimize database performance
  • Manage backups, recovery and disaster recovery plans
  • Implement and maintain database security and user access
  • Set up replication, clustering and high-availability solutions
  • Automate routine DBA tasks through scripting and tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
  • Document configurations and procedures
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in advanced database administration across MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Expertise in CockroachDB administration combined with proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python for automation
  • Skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI combined with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana and ELK
  • Knowledge of cloud database services such as AWS RDS and GCP
  • Background in database security, replication and high availability
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
