Functional Tester

We are seeking a Functional Tester to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions across a variety of platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective testing strategies and support the delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional test cases to validate application behavior and business requirements
• Define and implement defect management processes to ensure timely resolution
• Create the required documentation to support test completion and traceability
• Perform quality risk assessment and management to prioritize testing efforts
• Identify potential automation workflows to improve testing efficiency
• Understand and apply international testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle, using quality risk analysis as a baseline for test prioritization
• Design and implement software quality metrics to measure product reliability
• Propose changes or new functionalities based on test results and observations
• Generate and submit progress reports to communicate testing status
• Report and track defects to ensure proper follow-up and resolution
• Generate and submit defect reports with the necessary details for effective remediation
• Manage and lead work teams to drive testing activities and deliverables

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in software testing or a similar area
• Experience participating in testing for mobile platform projects
• Desirable and verifiable experience using AI to support testing activities
• Familiarity with various testing effort estimation methods to plan testing workloads
• Hands-on experience developing test strategies and plans aligned with project goals
• Knowledge of and experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Xray, and Zephyr
• Active participation in the team's agile practice events, including ceremonies and collaborative activities
• Contribution to defining acceptance criteria for user stories or requirements
• Ability to design test strategies and plans based on user stories defined by the team
• Experience designing both functional and non-functional test cases to ensure broad coverage
• Practical experience testing APIs for back-end validation
• Experience testing native iOS and tvOS applications across various scenarios
• Excellent written and verbal command of English and Spanish at a B2 level or higher
