Role description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the design, development, and enhancement of our client's enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer with strong experience building data pipelines, integrating data from operational databases, and working with modern cloud data warehouses.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Python-based ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation
  • Design and develop data pipelines to ingest data from operational databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other OLTP systems) into Snowflake
  • Develop scalable and performant data models in Snowflake.
  • Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data models to support analytics and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate with application developers, business users, and data consumers to understand data requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Strong Python programming skills with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Solid SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience integrating data from OLTP databases, including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) or similar layered data lake/lakehouse models.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD for data engineering workflows
