Role description

Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) Developer to design, build and maintain analytics content on the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence platform (formerly Fusion Analytics Warehouse). The role focuses on delivering actionable reporting and dashboards for Finance/ERP and Supply Chain (SCM) stakeholders.

The successful candidate will extend Oracle's prebuilt ERP and SCM analytics with custom subject areas, KPIs and data augmentations, integrate external data sources, and ensure data quality, performance and security across the platform. This is a hands-on senior position that also involves mentoring, stakeholder engagement and technical ownership of the FDI environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build custom dashboards, workbooks, KPIs and analytic cards on Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI/FAW) for ERP and SCM domains.
  • Extend Oracle's prebuilt ERP Analytics and SCM Analytics content - build custom subject areas and semantic model extensions to meet business needs.
  • Model and enrich data using Data Augmentation and Custom Data Configurations, sourcing from Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and external systems.
  • Configure and maintain data pipelines (functional and external), monitor refresh schedules, and troubleshoot data load and reconciliation issues.
  • Implement role-based and data-level (row-level) security, security assignments and content access in line with governance requirements.
  • Optimize dashboards and semantic models for performance, and ensure data accuracy across Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, Costing) and SCM (Inventory, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing).
  • Produce technical documentation, promote content across environments, and support release and change-management processes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) tool itself is the core competency for this role and is mandatory. The items below establish the required senior baseline; candidates without proven, hands-on delivery experience will not be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) as a core competency - the candidate must be able to build and extend analytics content directly on the FDI platform (custom subject areas, KPIs, cards, dashboards, Data Augmentation and semantic model extensions).
  • Substantial hands-on experience in BI / data warehouse / analytics development at a senior level. This is a senior position; extensive, demonstrable delivery experience is essential and applicants without it will not be considered.
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL; solid data modeling and dimensional (star-schema) design skills.
  • Understanding of data-level and role-based security models within Fusion analytics.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and requirements-gathering ability with Finance and SCM stakeholders.

Advantageous Skills and Experience

The following are not mandatory, but are considered strong advantages. Together they enable the developer to deliver comprehensive FDI analytics solutions that leverage both foundational and contemporary Oracle analytics technologies:

  • Hands-on experience with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules within FDI - a major advantage and highly relevant to this role.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) integration - a significant advantage, given OTBI's role in providing real-time data into FDI.
  • Understanding of the Fusion ERP and SCM database schemas and their underlying table structures - a substantial advantage that allows the developer to work effectively with the data.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), the on-premise Oracle analytics platform - a major advantage that provides valuable foundational business-intelligence expertise.
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) extracts and the associated ETL processes for extracting and loading data from Fusion Cloud Applications - an important advantage for data-pipeline implementation.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle certifications in FDI / Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Scripting experience (e.g. Python) and familiarity with Git/version control and CI/CD for analytics content.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, supply-chain or technology organization.
