Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect to establish a unified data strategy, design and govern the enterprise data layer, implement AWS data services and create foundational architecture blueprints. This role acts as a subject matter expert driving data strategy across the program and ensuring alignment across workstreams with the customer and AWS, with all work aligned to AWS cloud-native best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models for ad delivery, audience segmentation, campaign reporting and billing that align with the customer's existing systems and support migration to the future-state architecture
• Architect data solutions using AWS services aligned to the program's approved tech stack
• Define data ingestion, transformation and orchestration patterns across batch and real-time streams (e.g. ad impressions, click events, audience signals)
• Establish data governance standards including lineage, cataloging, access controls and compliance with the customer's privacy and security requirements (per the Technical Security Plan)
• Build integration points between the customer's legacy systems and the new microservices-based platform, ensuring data flows are well-defined and documented
• Maintain data architecture artifacts including ERDs, data flow diagrams, schema definitions and data dictionaries
• Partner with the customer and AWS as an SME, driving data strategy and cross-workstream alignment

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data strategy and data governance
• 5+ years in data modeling and ETL / data integration
• 1+ years dedicated to creating architecture blueprints
• Proficiency in Apache Iceberg
• Skills in Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio

Nice to have

• Background in ad tech / media domain
• Expertise in microservices integration patterns
• Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools
