Role description
We are looking for a Lead Python Backend Developer to build and evolve AI-enabled backend services for a cloud-native engagement platform. You will partner with product and engineering peers to deliver reliable integrations, scalable APIs, and production-ready AI features - apply to join us.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services primarily in Python to support core platform capabilities
- Design scalable cloud-native services on AWS aligned with reliability and performance goals
- Build and maintain REST APIs that integrate product features and external systems
- Implement AI-powered features and integrate LLM capabilities into production services
- Maintain and enhance existing C#/.NET components to ensure continuity and stability
- Review code and drive technical design discussions to uphold engineering standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely fixes and preventive improvements
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Architecture teams to align delivery and requirements
- Improve system performance, maintainability, and operational readiness
- Contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience
- 5+ years of Python backend development experience
- Working knowledge of C#/.NET for maintaining legacy services
- Hands-on AWS Cloud experience building cloud-native applications
- Strong REST API development experience for production systems
- Solid SQL knowledge for data access and troubleshooting
- Technical leadership experience guiding design and code quality
- Agile development experience in cross-functional teams
- Strong object-oriented design knowledge and design pattern skills
- Strong Git and CI/CD workflow skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills for production incidents
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams in a US time window
