Role description

We are building a Lead Automation Tester in JS to set the quality vision and automation blueprint for web platforms using Playwright and JavaScript. You will shape standards, guide shift-left testing, and ensure test suites scale across UI, API, and integration coverage. Bring your leadership mindset and apply today

Responsibilities

  • Design and own the end-to-end automation strategy using Playwright and JavaScript
  • Define automation architecture, reusable patterns, and best practices
  • Ensure test suites remain scalable, maintainable, and performant
  • Drive shift-left testing adoption across teams and workflows
  • Establish quality gates and controls within CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement and oversee UI, API, and integration test coverage
  • Design test approaches for complex user journeys and system integrations
  • Manage test data and coordinate environment orchestration
  • Lead code reviews for test automation code and standards
  • Eliminate flaky tests and improve overall test execution reliability
  • Mentor mid-level and junior Quality Engineers through coaching and feedback
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery leaders to confirm release readiness

Requirements

  • Proven track record in Quality Engineering or Test Automation with 5+ years of professional experience and prior work in a Lead QE or Senior QE capacity
  • Hands-on expertise with Playwright at scale and advanced proficiency in JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of frontend and backend architectures
  • Demonstrated experience testing REST APIs and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of test architecture, test data practices, and environment management
  • Strong communication skills and effective stakeholder management experience
  • Background working on complex, enterprise-scale platforms
  • English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
