Role description

Responsibilities

  • Design backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build scalable microservices with security and performance in mind
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for enterprise applications
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and architects across the SDLC
  • Review code and uphold engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement lasting fixes
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Optimize application reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Use cloud-based infrastructure and modern DevOps practices
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning and retrospectives
  • Document technical decisions and share knowledge with the team

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong Java skills (Java 17+ preferred)
  • Hands-on Spring Boot experience
  • REST API design and development experience
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Solid object-oriented design knowledge
  • Version control proficiency with Git workflows
  • Relational database knowledge and SQL skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills
  • Minimum English language level of B1+

Nice to have

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
  • GraphQL API development or consumption experience
  • Elasticsearch experience
