We're looking for a Performance Energy Engineer to join our Digital Services team . If you're passionate about energy efficiency, data-driven optimization, and helping customers reduce their environmental footprint while improving operational performance, we'd love to hear from you.
The Challenge
As a Performance Energy Engineer, you will identify building optimization opportunities and develop innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption, operational costs, and maintenance expenses while meeting customer requirements and financial objectives.
You'll work with advanced building analytics, energy audits, technical solution design, baseline development, cost calculations, and measurement & verification concepts.
This position can be based anywhere in Spain and requires occasional travel across the country.
Your responsibilities
- Conducts building data analytics remote audits, analyze current situation and produces facility improvement measures plans.
- Engage with the people in the various industry and building, understand the challenges, the energy usage and patterns, how the plant is operated and controlled, how the plant is providing and using energy within the industry/building, compare the design to what is being used (e.g. as to identify changes in operation) and upon delivering a performance reports, to identify facility energy/maintenance optimization measures.
- Assists sales in identification and qualification of potential digital services contracts.
- Full ownership of optimization process; from discovery to service delivery including energy audits, cost calculations, design and specifications and measurement and verification.
- Close interaction and cooperation with the Siemens European Digital Delivery Center.
- Ensure service development process including internal stakeholder management.
- Active monitoring for new trends and solutions in the market to enhance the offerings.
What you bring
- Experience with plant and control optimization on industry and buildings market.
- Having experience with several various Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) is highly advantageous.
- You will have an excellent understanding of the technical infrastructure, and technologies and how to redesign existing systems to become more energy, operational and maintenance efficient
- Theoretical background to be able to calculate the effect of system adjustments or exchange of equipment in combination with field experience, i.e. have a deep understanding about the practical use of ventilation, heating, cooling, heat recovery, process optimization, etc...
- Language skills in verbal and written English. Spanish.
- You are most likely a civil/mechanical/energy engineer with work experience in HVAC systems, energy efficiency project and services
- Certified Energy Manager and/or CMVP qualification is an advantage.
