Senior Automation Tester in JS

We are looking for a Senior Automation Tester in JS to join an Agile product team supporting customer-facing web applications and APIs. The role combines automation development, functional testing, and collaboration with developers to help ensure high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs
• Enhance and support existing automation frameworks and test utilities
• Create automated test coverage for new features and regression scenarios
• Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release process
• Investigate test failures and defects, and work closely with developers to identify root causes
• Review requirements and contribute to test planning and test case design
• Support integrations between automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional team members
• Share automation knowledge and best practices within the team

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in test automation for web applications
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and test automation design patterns
• Experience with Node.js and modern automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium
• Skills in API testing and automation using Postman or similar tools
• Understanding of software testing principles, test design, and defect management
• Experience using Git-based source control systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
• Familiarity with test management tools such as qTest or TestRail
• Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms such as LambdaTest
• Experience testing authentication and authorization APIs
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience integrating automation frameworks with test management tools
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS SQS or similar technologies
• Experience testing or automating real-time applications using WebSockets
• Skills in Bash scripting
• Experience with SAP-based web applications, mobile automation, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
