Senior Automation Tester in JS

We're seeking a Senior Automation Tester specializing in JavaScript to take ownership of quality strategy and automation architecture for web platforms, leveraging Playwright and JavaScript as primary tools. This position extends beyond writing tests: the Senior QE establishes quality benchmarks, leads automation strategy, coaches team members and guarantees that quality keeps pace with platform growth.

Responsibilities

• Architect and take full ownership of end-to-end automation strategy leveraging Playwright and JavaScript
• Establish automation architecture, design patterns and best practices
• Guarantee test suites remain scalable, maintainable and performant
• Champion the adoption of shift-left testing methodologies
• Set up quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
• Build and manage UI, API and integration test suites
• Develop test strategies for intricate user journeys and system integrations
• Manage test data and coordinate environment orchestration
• Oversee code reviews for automation codebases
• Reduce flaky tests and enhance the reliability of test execution
• Coach and guide mid-level and junior Quality Engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Delivery leadership on release readiness

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years working in Quality Engineering or Test Automation, including demonstrated experience in a Senior QE capacity
• Practical, large-scale expertise with Playwright along with advanced JavaScript skills
• Knowledge of both frontend and backend architectural structures
• Background in testing REST APIs plus substantial experience embedding automation within CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with test architecture design, test data handling and environment management
• Excellent communication abilities and skill in managing stakeholders
• Proven track record working with complex, enterprise-level platforms
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
