Role description
Spotify is looking for a senior marketing leader to join our MENAT+ team as Culture Marketing Lead. This is a rare opportunity to define and own the cultural narrative of Spotify across some of the most dynamic and fast-growing markets in the world, including Türkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
As part of the Marketing team, you'll lead our culture, content, and experiential marketing efforts, building campaigns at the intersection of music, culture, and community to make Spotify the true home for fans. You'll bring deep expertise in the MENA and Türkiye cultural and creative landscape, along with a proven track record of building brands that authentically move with culture.
Working closely with our Music team, Global Brand teams, artists, creators, and external partners, you'll deliver marketing that fans genuinely love. This role reports to the Head of Marketing, MENAT+ and is based in Dubai.
What You'll Do
- Define and lead Spotify's culture marketing strategy across MENAT+, developing campaigns that tap into music, pop culture, and youth culture to grow brand love and cultural relevance.
- Lead the development and execution of culturally rooted campaigns spanning content, partnerships, creator collaborations, and experiential marketing.
- Partner closely with Spotify's Music team to develop and execute artist marketing plans and integrated go-to-market campaigns, serving as the primary marketing interface for music and artist-led initiatives across the region.
- Define the region's content pillars and editorial voice, working across short-form video, long-form storytelling, social-first content, editorial features, and emerging formats to create content that earns attention organically.
- Build and manage high-impact experiential activations, live events, and fan experiences that connect Spotify to local culture in meaningful ways.
- Serve as the cultural authority for the region, championing bold, original ideas while ensuring consistency with Spotify's global brand.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Content Marketing Managers, fostering collaboration, creativity, and high performance.
- Establish measurement frameworks for culture and content marketing, using audience insights and performance data to refine strategy and demonstrate business impact.
- Stay ahead of cultural trends, shifts in consumer behaviour, and the competitive landscape across MENA and Türkiye, bringing fresh perspectives and outside-in thinking to the team.
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a significant focus on culture, music, content, and experiential marketing, ideally within entertainment, media, or technology platforms.
- You are a content strategist at heart and have built content programmes from the ground up, with a deep understanding of how different formats perform across platforms and a strong editorial instinct for what a brand should and shouldn't say.
- You have extensive experience partnering with music teams, artists, labels, and creative partners, and understand how to balance artist storytelling with brand objectives.
- You have successfully built, led, and developed high-performing marketing teams.
- You are deeply immersed in music and culture across MENA and Türkiye, with an authentic understanding of the artists, communities, movements, and cultural moments that shape audiences across the region.
- You think strategically and culturally, identifying where Spotify should show up and inspiring cross-functional teams and partners around a compelling vision.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and collaborating across global and regional teams.
- You are fluent in English and Arabic. Turkish language proficiency is a strong advantage.
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in Dubai.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
