Role description

We are in search of a highly skilled Lead JavaScript Developer who is enthusiastic about creating rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications.

In this position, you will apply your deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver fast-loading, SEO-optimized, and mobile-first user interfaces. Your focus will be on building outstanding web experiences that feel like native mobile apps, fine-tuning performance across both desktop and mobile web browsers, including iOS Safari. Collaborating closely with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners, you will turn interactive designs into clean, modular, and reusable front-end code.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop high-performing, responsive web applications using React and Next.js, taking advantage of capabilities such as SSR, SSG, and API routes
  • Bring pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs to life that adjust smoothly across various devices, with special emphasis on refining layouts, animations, and touch interactions for mobile viewports, including iOS/Android browsers
  • Handle sophisticated client-side state management using tools like Redux, Zustand, or Context API
  • Connect applications to backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Analyze and enhance application performance to achieve fast load times, strong Core Web Vitals results, and smooth rendering on less powerful mobile devices
  • Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code
  • Perform detailed code reviews and help build out the shared UI component library

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in modern web development, with a strong emphasis on building user-facing features
  • A minimum of one year of experience leading and overseeing development teams
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React
  • Hands-on experience with the Next.js framework, including App Router or Pages Router and Server Components
  • Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks or approaches such as Tailwind CSS, styled-components, or CSS Modules
  • Experience optimizing web applications for mobile browsers, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), or embedding web views within hybrid mobile containers
  • Working knowledge of Git for version control, along with experience operating within an Agile/Scrum workflow
  • English proficiency at a B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication abilities

Nice to have

  • Background with automated testing frameworks for JavaScript/TypeScript applications to strengthen code reliability
  • Exposure to hybrid mobile app frameworks such as React Native, Capacitor, or Cordova
  • Understanding of accessibility (a11y) best practices to support inclusive web design
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for streamlining build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Experience using performance monitoring and analytics tools to evaluate real-world application behavior and performance
