Role description

We are seeking a highly capable Lead JavaScript Developer with a passion for building rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver fast, SEO-friendly, and mobile-first user interfaces. You will focus on crafting exceptional web experiences that look and feel like native mobile apps, optimizing performance for both desktop and mobile web view browsers (including iOS Safari). Working closely with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners, you will translate interactive designs into clean, modular, and reusable front-end code.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js, utilizing features like SSR, SSG, and API routes
  • Implement pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs that adapt seamlessly across devices, with particular attention to optimizing layouts, animations, and touch interactions for mobile viewports, including iOS/Android browsers
  • Manage complex client-side state using tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API
  • Integrate applications with backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Profile and optimize applications for maximum loading speed, strong Core Web Vitals scores, and smooth rendering on lower-powered mobile devices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable JavaScript/TypeScript code
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to the shared UI component library

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in modern web development with a strong focus on building user-facing features
  • At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React
  • Practical experience with the Next.js framework, including App Router or Pages Router and Server Components
  • Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks or methodologies such as Tailwind CSS, styled-components, or CSS Modules
  • Experience optimizing web applications for mobile browsers, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), or integrating web views within hybrid mobile containers
  • Experience with Git for version control and working within an Agile/Scrum development cycle
  • English level B2 or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks for JavaScript/TypeScript applications to ensure code reliability
  • Familiarity with hybrid mobile app frameworks such as React Native, Capacitor, or Cordova
  • Knowledge of accessibility (a11y) best practices for building inclusive web experiences
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for automating build, test, and deployment processes
  • Experience with performance monitoring and analytics tools to track real-world application usage and performance
