Role description

We are seeking a Senior Java Solution Architect (AWS & Gen AI) to lead a platform modernization effort across Java, AWS, and enterprise Generative AI use cases. You will assess the current codebase and architecture, define scalable cloud-native designs, and guide teams through upgrades, integrations, and report modernization - apply now.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end Java upgrade program to version 21
  • Decouple memory management from static servers by integrating Redis to support autoscaling
  • Design and implement a dynamic load balancer to handle fluctuating workloads
  • Modernize and revamp legacy reports built on Pentaho
  • Rebuild integrations with third-party products such as OTP and Workday
  • Analyze the existing codebase to understand architectural and design patterns and propose new solution designs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain architectural alignment and follow industry best practices
  • Apply Generative AI capabilities to enhance system functionality and developer productivity
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams throughout the modernization journey

Requirements

  • Extensive track record with 10+ years of professional experience in software development and solution architecture
  • Deep expertise in Java, including currency with modern releases and proven upgrade approaches (Java 21)
  • Strong command of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Demonstrated experience with Redis and autoscaling implementations
  • Proven ability to design and roll out dynamic load balancing solutions
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI technologies and how to apply them in enterprise settings
  • Familiarity with Pentaho and modern approaches to report modernization
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns with third-party platforms such as OTP and Workday
  • Ability to navigate complex codebases, evaluate architecture and design patterns, and propose innovative solution designs
  • Balanced mix of hands-on technical depth and end-to-end architectural vision
  • Fluency in English at B2+/C1 (Upper-Intermediate/Advanced) level for effective communication
