Role description

We are looking for a Senior SRE Engineer to build and support an API management platform within Azure cloud environments. The role is hands-on, requiring senior-level expertise in infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and API management solutions, with the ability to contribute to multiple ongoing projects while collaborating effectively within the EST time zone.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain API management solutions, primarily Microsoft APIM
  • Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible within Azure
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, mainly using Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues
  • Provide expertise and recommendations based on experience with different API management platforms
  • Participate in multiple projects, adapting to shifting priorities and resource constraints
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives with senior-level hands-on engineering work

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related DevOps roles
  • Strong background in API management platforms such as Microsoft APIM, Tyke or Kong
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in Terraform, Ansible and Azure cloud environments
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance with Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skills in problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience with more than one API management platform such as Tyke or Kong
  • Familiarity with other cloud providers or hybrid cloud setups
  • Knowledge of a broader DevOps toolset
  • Exposure to troubleshooting complex platform issues across different environments
