Role description

We are seeking a Lead AWS Engineer with a strong background in DevOps practices and tools to contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of our infrastructure, with a focus on GitLab, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS cloud, Kubernetes/EKS, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and other relevant tools
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform
  • Configure and manage AWS services
  • Collaborate with the development team to deploy microservices onto the Kubernetes/EKS platform using GitLab CI/CD
  • Lead the migration of Jenkins pipelines to GitLab, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployment processes
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevOps and Cloud
  • Ensure code is up-to-date, maintainable, scalable, and secure
  • Monitor and improve system health and performance to maximize uptime and end-user satisfaction
  • Develop, test, and maintain the toolchain and pipeline that enables continuous integration and deployment
  • Collaborate with software developers, operations teams, and other cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and deliver systems and software within agreed upon timelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering roles
  • Proficiency in GitLab, Terraform, and Jenkins, including Jenkins to GitLab migration
  • Expertise in AWS, EKS, and Ansible
  • Skills in Shell and Python scripting, along with Ansible playbooks for automation tasks
  • Background in containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of infrastructure security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency (B2+)

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with native AI cloud services such as AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and Azure AI
  • Background in designing, building, and operating AI agents and agentic frameworks
  • Knowledge of coding agents such as Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, Trae, and Antigravity
