Role description
We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect to lead large-scale migrations of legacy and third-party applications into modern cloud and container platforms. You will shape target-state architecture, guide delivery teams, and align stakeholders on the best path forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead application and infrastructure discovery to assess legacy and third-party workloads
- Define target-state systems architecture across AWS, Kubernetes, and private cloud options
- Facilitate workshops with clients and architecture stakeholders to gather requirements
- Create migration plans and test plans aligned with business needs and risk constraints
- Decide platform approach and landing zone integration based on workload requirements
- Oversee engineering execution and unblock teams during migration delivery
- Provide hands-on expertise for DevOps and cloud tasks when needed
- Guide containerization strategy and ensure workloads are packaged for modern platforms
- Design CI/CD pipeline approach to support repeatable and controlled releases
- Coordinate with security and solution architecture to ensure compliant designs
Requirements
- 7+ years cloud and systems development experience with large-scale migration programs
- 5+ years infrastructure as code experience with Terraform in production environments
- 5+ years configuration management and automation experience with Ansible
- 5+ years containerization experience and platform selection for Kubernetes or EKS
- Strong technical leadership skills to guide architects and engineering teams
- Strong client communication skills to facilitate workshops and align on approach
- Advanced English skills (C1, Advanced)
